No, the only affiliation is that the Narconon Drug rehab technology and the religion of Scientology are based on the works of the same man, L. Ron Hubbard. Narconon is a separate public benefit, nonprofit corporation. It is not a religious organization and is non-denominational in its view of religion. However, many of the new Narconon facilities established since Benitez started the Narconon program in the 1960's have been made possible by volunteers and financial support given by Scientologists. That support continues to this day. In addition, Narconon centers are successfully raising expansion funding from a widening circle of benefactors, as well as privately funding the development of new centers and drug prevention programs. The Narconon organization supports and acknowledges all religions that work to eradicate substance abuse, but is not corporately part of any religious organization.
